The Delaware I-80 toll bridge will have an Express E-ZPass / open road tolling (ORT) lane to collect tolls from E-ZPass-equipped motorists travelling at highway speeds.

The project is expected to enable the single lane to process 2,000 vehicles per hour, reducing traffic and congestion.

It also involves the replacement of three toll booths with a single open-road tolling lane.

Five remaining lanes at the toll plaza are expected to be converted into a new E-ZPass-only lane and four mixed-mode lanes.

All the lanes are expected to manage both cars and trucks, according to pocononews.net.
