The Ministry of Public Security in Israel has deployed new traffic enforcement cameras on roads, supplied by Dutch company Gatsometer.

The new cameras will monitor and measure the speed of vehicles on four lanes of roads and are undetectable by current radar detectors.

The cameras take high-quality digital photographs, which can be sent wirelessly to a control centre, resulting in enhanced photographic capacity, according to globes.co.il.

The new offering also enhances delivery of speeding tickets to offenders compared with several weeks, which was required earlier.
