The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) are jointly providing a €100m ($132.3m) loan to rehabilitate the road network in Albania.

The funds will be used to rehabilitate about 500km of regional and local roads as part of a wider road programme covering 1,500km.

The Albanian Development Fund will deliver the project, according to balkans.com.

Work on the project will begin in October this year and is expected to be complete in 2015.
