Automatic vehicle-access lifting barriers
FAAC automatic lifting barriers are an excellent solution for control of vehicle access in private, industrial and commercial areas. A wide range of products satisfies the broadest requirements in terms of entrance width and transit frequency, from the access to a condo parking area to the access point of a motorway.
Vehicle-access barrier range
The core of FAAC’s vehicle-access barrier range consists of four models: the 615 for medium transit-frequency applications, the 620 for intense-traffic accesses, the 640 for intense-traffic management in large industrial accesses, and the 642, which provides high resistance to any type of aggressive environments through its rugged stainless-steel hood.
Parking area and motorway vehicle-access barriers
Three other versions of the 615 and 620 vehicle-access barriers complete the range: 615 R (Rapid), 620 R and 620SR (Super Rapid). These are ideal for applications requiring very short opening times (e.g. parking areas and motorways).
All FAAC barriers are based on hydraulic technology that ensures very high performance, reliability, and very long product life. Hydraulic barriers have fewer gears than electro-mechanical barriers, and wear is considerably reduced by the use of a fluid (oil) as a lubricant.
Motorway tollbooth automatic barriers
Since 1993, FAAC’s quality and reliability have been recognised by Società Autostrade, administrator of the Italian motorway network, which has selected FAAC high-performance automatic barriers for all its tollbooths.
Automatic retractable bollards
FAAC automatic bollards are yet another solution for vehicle-access control, especially suited for those applications in which aesthetic and safety requirements are important.
The FAAC product range of automatic bollards is built around two main models: FAAC City 275 and FAAC City K.
High-traffic area automatic retractable bollards
FAAC City 275 is particularly suitable for high-traffic access areas, and has been approved for intense use by the Italian Ministry of Transport. It is equipped with a double-effect hydraulic drive with an external motion station, and can be activated automatically by authorised persons (through cards, remote controls, etc.), or by pre-set timed automatic commands (using an hourly programmer).
Impact-safety automatic retractable bollards
The FAAC City K automatic retractable bollard is suitable for applications with a high degree of impact safety. It is specifically designed to respond to the ever-growing demand for safety and can be used to create protective barriers or to allow access to particularly sensitive zones (e.g. embassies, consulates, public offices, banks, hotels, etc.). It is hydraulically activated, with an integrated hydraulic unit, and controlled by an externally managed electronic control unit.
Semi-automatic and fixed bollards
The FAAC bollard range is completed by semi-automatic and fixed bollards, which have the same design as automatic bollards in order to preserve the aesthetic impact of your installation.
Card-identification vehicular access control system
FAAC is able to provide a variety of solutions for vehicular access control by means of the most well-known card-identification technologies.
Among them are the common magnetic-stripe data carrier based on the ISO 2 track (the user-friendly passive proximity ISO size), and high-frequency active tags especially suited for vehicular non-stop access control with long-range operating distance. Identification can also be provided by FAAC remote controls.
