Concurrently to the Intertraffic Amsterdam 2018, VITRONIC received type approval in the Netherlands for its semi-stationary traffic enforcement system ENFORCEMENT TRAILER. The certification was issued by NMi (Netherlands Measurement Institute), an independent and internationally renowned specialist for testing and certifying the field of metrology.
The ENFORCEMENT TRAILER is a semi-stationary system that allows unmanned traffic enforcement at temporary risk areas such as work zones or where there is no infrastructure for permanent surveillance. It is fully automatic and runs for more than five days without recharging. Its type approval follows the certification of VITRONIC’s POLISCAN FM1, a LIDAR-based multi-lane measurement system, earlier this year. Both systems can now be deployed by authorities in the Netherlands to enforce compliance to the legal speed limits and thus increase road safety. For the remainder of the Intertraffic Amsterdam 2018 both systems will also be on display in hall 12 at booth 407 and 516.
