The New York State Bridge Authority (NYSBA) has recently selected Transdyn as their system-wide intelligent transportation system engineering consultant. The award is a three-year contract with an optional two-year extension.
Continuing a five-year relationship with NYSBA, Transdyn will provide engineering and consultant services for the advancement and development of the authority’s system-wide intelligent transportation systems program. Services include ITS planning, ITS design, development of RFP documents, construction management and inspection, project management, and system integration. The program allows the authority to use the latest technologies to efficiently operate and maintain their bridges by more securely managing facilities, reducing traffic congestion, and increasing motorist safety.
The NYSBA operates and maintains the Kingston-Rhinecliff, Newburgh-Beacon, Rip Van Winkle, Mid-Hudson, and Bear Mountain bridges. For over 65 years, these trans-Hudson river facilities have been managed by the authority and have played an important role in economy growth for Hudson valley.
