Speed, red light and yellow box enforcement

AGD offers precise speed and range measurement radars for host speed enforcement camera systems to meet the exacting standards of international jurisdictions. Its latest designs provide critical information for red light and yellow box enforcement and all products are supplied with origination calibration traceable to national standards.

Highways

AGD’s radars are being deployed in multi-lane motorways across the globe, tracking multiple vehicle targets and helping highways authorities to monitor traffic flows and manage congestion. Working collaboratively with its partners, has enabled AGD to gain international approvals with highways agencies and transport authorities worldwide. Recent domestic projects include delivering high-profile speed enforcement schemes on the UK road network (eg. HADECS3), where AGD radars now have full UK Home Office Type Approval (HOTA).

Urban traffic control

AGD has a proven track record helping road authorities monitor traffic levels and improve safety in urban areas with its effective and highly accurate vehicle and pedestrian detection systems.
Its wide range of internationally deployed applications includes: intersection control, congestion management, queue detection, stop-line detection, VMS speed warning signs, temporary traffic control, traffic monitoring, pedestrian detection, cycle detection and wireless communication systems.

Dynamic street lighting control

AGD Systems is applying its radar expertise to help authorities and lighting manufacturers reduce the energy consumption of street lighting systems and generate significant cost savings by providing dynamic street lighting control, ensuring that lighting levels are adjusted safely and reliably, depending on specific traffic volumes at particular times. AGD’s traffic adaptive lighting control has been installed in France, in conjunction with a major lighting manufacturer and live trials are about to taking place in central London.

Strategic detection in rail, sea or security

AGD’s intelligent radar detection systems can also be deployed to meet the strategic detection requirements of many different sectors including the rail and maritime sectors as well as the security industry. Different examples of these include: bi-directional train detection on rail networks, low power solutions for remote monitoring, wrong way detection on entry/exit slip roads and bespoke radar solutions for specialist applications.
