Road surface markings play an important part in our everyday lives and primarily exist ensure the safety of motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and even pilots through the guidance and provision of information. Safety is paramount in everything we do at Kelly Bros.

Our reputation and high standards have ensured that our products have been used for the majority of road markings on the Irish road network as well as of those in countries such as Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Malta and Trinidad. One of the biggest projects Kelly Bros has been associated with involved the marking of over 1,000km of road through the Arabian Desert.

ISO accredited road-marking systems

In 1991 we became the first ever company in our industry to be awarded certification for ISO 9002 quality management systems, for the manufacture and application of thermoplastic road-marking products.

In addition we comply with IS EN9001:2000 and our finished products are tested and certified in accordance with the BSI kitemark system to meet with the strict requirements of IS EN 1436:1998 and IS EN 1871:2000.

Our quality assurance systems are not only for improving our work processes and efficiency but to ensure confidence in our customers too. We also carry out routine site checks on road-marking projects that use Kelly Bros products.

Road-marking materials manufacture

The Kelly Bros production facility in Virginia, County Cavan, has been expanded and improved hugely since its first inception in 1972. We now have a fully automated batching plant. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing sector is capable of producing over 130t of material per day.

All our products are rigorously tested for stress under various conditions, including gas and fume reactions, temperature and friction. Kelly Bros products are manufactured to the highest possible standards in Europe (as dictated by Irish local authorities) and are guaranteed for a minimum of three years with 200mcd.
