Metric Parking, the UK’s only manufacturer of pay and display parking machines, has come out top for quality in an evaluation by the newly formed purchasing organisation The Pro 5 Group.
Pro 5 are five of the largest public sector professional buying organisations in the UK with a combined purchasing power in excess of £2 billion per annum. The Pro 5 are ESPO (Eastern Shire Purchasing Organisation), CBC (Central Buying Consortium), NEPO (North Eastern Purchasing Organisation), WMS (West Mercia Supplies), YP (Yorkshire Purchasing).
As part of creating a new framework contract for purchasing equipment Pro 5 evaluated suitable companies and their products, including pay and display machines and maintenance services. Metric scored highest for quality and was competitive on price.
The evaluation carried out by Pro 5 included machines from all corners of the world. Richard Boultbee, UK Sales & Marketing Manager for Metric said: “It is always pleasing when a third party carries out a detailed evaluation and scores you highest amongst suppliers. We know we don’t make the lowest cost machine, but quality is very important to us.”
The new purchasing organisation went ‘live’ at the beginning of the month.
