Park Assist Parking Guidance Systems

As a global leader in parking guidance, bay sensing and enforcement parking management systems, Park Assist puts an emphasis on green building sustainability. The company has deployed its patented technology in dozens of large parking garages for multinational clients such as Westfield, Lend Lease, Tesco and QIC.
Parking guidance and bay sensing systems
Park Assist has reinforced its status as the world leader in sensor networks with the release of its next-generation parking guidance system, the M³: a patented system that is purely based on imaging technology. The Park Assist technology includes the first ‘find your car’ solution, which offers a better-than-ever experience for customers, along with security and cash-generating applications that are specifically designed for sophisticated asset owners.
For the first time, the business case for parking guidance is compelling for the mass market of developers and managers.
Single-space parking guidance system
The M³ is the first single-space parking guidance system with patented technology that is embedded in an LED light unit. Every parking space is monitored using high-resolution CMOS digital cameras, for imaging that is more than 99% accurate. Imaging updates are completed through a software program for real-time deployment, and the whole system is housed in one weatherproof ceiling unit, for a clean, contemporary look.
When a car enters a space, all images, occupancy data and licence plate data are passed through the row controllers to a central control computer for live analysis. Remote access to the central station through the Internet can provide unparalleled control and access, including live images from up to thousands of cameras throughout the car park.
Car-finding system for car parks
Park Assist offers the world’s first ‘find your car’ solution, whereby customers can search for their car on customer-friendly kiosks, by entering the licence plate number, make, model and colour of their vehicle.
When combined with the traditional benefits of the Park Assist program, which guarantees a customer can find an empty space within 2min, Park Assist customers typically experience a rise in customer visits of 3%-5%.
This dramatic improvement in customer service leads to a reduction in stress for customers and the improvement of the overall quality of site.
Parking control and enforcement systems
The M³ can immediately identify all vehicles, and provide real-time knowledge of how long they’ve been on-site. This allows for increased protection against prohibited vehicles, and eliminates revenue loss due to customers who claim to have ‘lost their tickets.’ Also, the number of CCTV cameras required can be reduced.
No longer will a parking garage need a nested staff area; simply create a designated area and staff will be notified if they park outside this area. Park Assist also offers a control centre that provides support 24/7 through the Internet.
Preferred-parking systems
Studies show that customers who drive (rather than take public transport) spend 250% more on shopping and are more likely to return. The Park Assist M³ significantly improves the number of customers who visit a shop more than once and drive to the site.
Also, M³ allows for a preferred-parking scheme that was never before possible, by allocating the most convenient parking spaces outside key entrances (i.e. outside retail food stores) to specific customers for short stay parking of 60min or 90min time limits.
As a result, the customer can either stay under the time limit, or pay a premium amount to stay in these good access areas over the time limit. The result is both an improvement in parking access and an additional $100,000-$500,000 in parking revenues per year.
