Sensor Dynamics Licence Plate Recognition Systems

Sensor Dynamics is a specialist in automatic number plate recognition (ANPR). With clients in both the private and public sector, we are committed to working closely with our customers to identify and deliver on their exact requirements.
Our engineering team is highly trained with expertise in areas such as software, mechanical and electronic engineering. We are also able to offer services such as custom system development, project management and on-going maintenance.
Mobile licence plate recognition systems
The Vyper™ Mobile licence plate recognition system (ANPR) combines fast deployment with reliability and simple operation.
A touch-screen user interface with powerful software ensures a system where the operator feels in control at all times. Designed for use in both mobile and fixed applications, Vyper Mobile ANPR can be used in a variety of applications.
ANPR enforcement systems
Sensor Dynamics’ mobile devices combine high-end hardware with specialised software to create a reliable and accurate ANPR enforcement system. Every kit contains a dual-channel PIPS Technology P362 camera, licensed integration module, Panasonic Toughbook™ with Vyper Mobile software, GPS module, hydrostatic window mount and rugged carry case as standard. Additional accessories such as boot mounts, roof mounts, camera hoods and tripods are also available.
Alerts can be edited, imported and exported on a single mobile unit or synchronised to a Vyper NET Data Centre. Either single or multiple Vyper Mobile systems can be synchronised to numerous vehicle watch-lists including disqualified drivers, unregistered, unlicensed or stolen vehicles. All data recorded in the field is uploaded for further analysis and reporting.
Vehicle-mounted licence plate recognition system
Sensor Dynamics provides a vehicle-mounted licence plate recognition system that provides a total solution for on-street and off-street parking enforcement. Vyper Mobile parking enforcement provides electronic chalking for each vehicle it passes and automatically alerts the operator to any offending vehicle.
Vyper NET server also integrates with parking enforcement, allowing it to pre-populate the infringement details, thereby simplifying ticketing. All required evidentiary data is handled and integrated with existing data management.
Vehicle database verification systems
Sensor Dynamics’ Vyper Mobile software reads each vehicle number plate coming past the camera and records the data to the onboard SQL database. Comprehensive database searches allow operators to quickly verify vehicle details in the field and also generate reports complete with photographs. For maximum versatility, the system can also be supplied with a number of different camera mounts, including side window, rear window, towbar or bull bar.
Vyper NET allows the operator to collaborate all captured data in one location. It also provides a single point of management for vehicle watch-lists that can be synchronised with third-party authorities and law enforcement agencies.
Vyper NET also includes a simple user interface with access via any standard web browser. Specific operational results and reports can be viewed in detail and all results can be exported in a variety of formats including pdf and excel.
Car park licence plate recognition systems
The Vyper Enterprise LPR is a powerful tool for controlling revenue loss and security. License plate recognition systems provide automated access control and reporting for airports, car parks and high-security sites.
The system uses ANPR records to charge customers accordingly. When a customer inserts their ticket into a pay machine, the ANPR system is used to calculate the total time spent in the car park that day (resetting at midnight). The rate table used to calculate the customer’s fee is based on how long the customer has already spent in the car park.
Automatic charge rate systems for car parks
Vyper Enterprise allows the car park operator to automatically charge vehicles at different rates. The car park operator can import a list of number plates and assign a specific rate table to the list, allowing modified parking charges for these vehicles.
This process allows the parking operator to provide free parking to residents or VIP guests, reduced rate parking to staff or contractors, or inflate parking costs to known vehicles that should not be using the car park.
Wildcards can also be used in the imported number plate lists. An example would be to charge all vehicles starting with ‘T’ a reduced rate.
