SICE Inc., a subsidiary of SICE in the USA, has been honoured by the mayor of Miami-Dade County with the Key of the County, as well as with a plaque by the City of Coral Gables. The event took place on December 11th, organized by the Beacon Council, the official organization of economical development of Miami-Dade, and it was a recognition of the expansion of the operations of SICE in the Miami-Dade County along the year 2012.
SICE also got a personal letter from the Governor of Florida commending us for the continued success and commitment to economic growth and development in the State of Florida.
SICE Inc was founded in 2007 with base in Texas state. In 2009 SICE moved its headquarters to Florida due to the award of the I-595 ITS Permanent system contract, which opening is expected for the beginning of 2014, approximately 6 months ahead of schedule.
In 2012 SICE obtained three contracts, two of them in Florida and the other in Seattle.
One contract was to provide the dynamic pricing system to dynamically calculate the toll amounts to be paid by the users of the express lanes on I-595 based on the congestion.
The second contract in Florida was to provide the ITS, SCADA and communications systems for the Port of Miami Tunnel.
Currently SICE Inc. is the technological provider of the two Public-Private Partnership projects being delivered more important of the state of Florida.
The other contract was for the provision of the low voltage systems for the SR99 – Alaskan Way Viaduct tunnel in Seattle, Washington State.
