Zenitel company Stentofon has partnered with Austrian parking and access control systems company Skidata to integrate its audio communication services in Skidata parking devices to enable bidirectional communication between operators and customers.

The partnership allows Skidata to provide its customers with flexibility to choose a real voiceover IP (VoIP)-intercom environment.

The solution offers hardware and server-less intercom communication as an integrated part of Skidata’s range of parking solutions.

Parking operators will be able to choose a system that is customised for VoIP communication based on the Stentofon Pulse framework as well as integrating the latest generation of high-definition IP Turbine family stations.

The Pulse framework enables connection to iPBXes from all major providers, and totally integrated project solutions with the help of the Alphacom family of audio servers, providing Skidata’s clients with an option to integrate an existing communication server in their parking solution.

According to Stentofon, the agreement will broaden the impact of equipment, offering possibilities for integration and enhanced services for existing and future partners of both companies.

Skidata car access senior vice president Robert Weiskopf said: "The intercom systems in our entry and exit gates and automated payment machines offer a great help desk for our customers in the parking industry."
