Eurotech's DuraNAV 1000, automatic vehicle location light is a low-power, embedded hardware platform that is fast, easy to install, and specifically designed for demanding, cost-sensitive, real-time vehicle tracking applications.

Remote vehicle tracking

Eurotech's DuraNAV 1000 light version enables users to track from a single vehicle to an entire fleet, from a central control room. This platform is suitable either for public transport, such as light railway and busses, or for ambulances, trucks and cars.

Thanks to this platform, it is possible to know the exact location of your fleet, as well as the speeds at which it is travelling, the distance it has travelled, and exact time it has spent at any location. It is also possible to monitor the exact position of every single vehicle and calculate approximate arrival times at the next location, a bus stop for example.

The DuraNAV 1000 could become an essential and invaluable instrument for verifying the position of police cars and taxis - allowing for improved response times and a more efficient service. Thanks to Eurotech's embedded AVL-Light, it is possible to improve the efficiency of the logistics sector, minimizing costs through better fleet management.

Powerful, low-power, embedded CPU

The Eurotech embedded DuraNAV combines a powerful, low-power, embedded CPU with advanced in-vehicle peripheral and wireless connectivity. Limited standard system configurations are available with different wireless and wired interface options.

The DuraNAV 1000 includes GPS satellite positioning with wireless communications over GSM / GPRS, as well as Wi-Fi and data transfer using fast Ethernet connections. Local I/O expansion, or connection to the vehicle's bus is possible using the integrated CAN-bus.

Extensive operating temperature range and vibration resistance

Interfaces are tailored to meet the most common requirements encountered in AVL and fleet management systems. This platform also features a unique identifier line that can be used as user or vehicle identification. The DuraNAV 1000 is e-certified and meets the requirements of the EN50155 standard, extended operating temperature range as well as resistance to humidity, shocks and vibrations.

Applications can run on embedded Windows CE or Linux operating systems. Board support packages (BSP) are available to speed up application development. Mass storage, for applications as well as data, is available inside the DuraNAV 1000 for the operating system.

Thanks to the unique design of the enclosure, maintenance can be performed without removing the system from its installed location. The DuraNAV 1000 is completely designed and produced by Eurotech in Italy, from the initial design concept of each board to the assembly of the end product.
