POWERFUL, LOW-POWER, EMBEDDED CPUThe Eurotech embedded AVL-Light combines a powerful, low-power, embedded CPU with advanced in-vehicle peripheral and wireless connectivity. Limited standard system configurations are available with different wireless and wired interface options. The AVL-Light includes GPS satellite positioning with wireless communications over GSM / GPRS, as well as Wi-Fi and data transfer using fast Ethernet connections. Local I/O expansion, or connection to the vehicle's bus is possible using the integrated CAN-bus. EXTENSIVE OPERATING TEMPERATURE RANGE AND VIBRATION RESISTANCEInterfaces are tailored to meet the most common requirements encountered in AVL and fleet management systems. This platform also features a unique identifier line that can be used as user or vehicle identification. The AVL-Light is e-certified and meets the requirements of the EN50155 standard, extended operating temperature range as well as resistance to humidity, shocks and vibrations. Applications can run on embedded Windows CE or Linux operating systems. Board Support Packages (BSP) are available to speed up application development. Mass storage, for applications as well as data, is available inside the AVL-Light for the operating system. Thanks to the unique design of the enclosure, maintenance can be performed without removing the system from its installed location.
