AAMP Global brand EchoMaster has released a new Left Turn Alarm safety system, which has been built specifically for vehicles in the UK.

Aimed at improving pedestrian safety, the new LTA-1 system is a self-contained unit and completely independent of other systems on the vehicle.

Linked directly to the turn indicator trigger, the unit delivers a 92dB warning using a real voice recording, when activated.

Vulnerable road users, cyclists, passers-by and pedestrians will be alerted with a warning that repeats the message ‘Caution, vehicle turning left’, when a vehicle is about to take a left-hand turn.

“Many HGV accidents are caused primarily due to a lack of visibility on the near side of the vehicle, as well as wide turning circles.”

The new alert system has been designed to be used on heavy goods vehicles (HGV) such as lorries and other large vehicles.

According to research, many HGV accidents are caused primarily due to a lack of visibility on the near side of the vehicle, as well as wide turning circles.

When the LTA-1 is positioned in this dangerous blind spot, it delivers an auditory cue to cyclists and others by alerting them to give them enough time to avoid potential collisions.

The system improves the safety of vehicle operators, other drivers, pedestrians and individuals, preventing common accidents from occurring.

The durable LTA-1 unit can be easily installed and is capable of withstanding harsh weather conditions and environments. It connects using a standard four-wire connection and does not require any additional components.
