HQL and some NAV lamps may no longer be placed on the market as of 13 April 2015 in the EU. From this date, these lamps will no longer obtain CE declaration because of their low efficiency. If the lamps are already produced and stored in the EU, they may still be used and sold. There is to be a period in which commerce and municipalities / public utilities are stored after stocks of HQL lamps are used up and new lights are installed.
Helecta GmbH offers alternatives to HQL and NAV plug-in bulbs, as well as complete lighting heads . All products have been developed and produced by Helecta in Germany in order to meet our quality requirements. We are happy to advise on issues relating to the optimal solution for our customers.
From 13 April 2017 occurs the third stage of the ErP directive. From the date, inefficient metal halide lamps with E27, E40 or PGZ12 socket and compact fluorescent lamps with two-pin base and integrated starters will no longer be placed on the EU market. Low-pressure sodium lamps and Vorschaltgeräte are exempt from this regulation. The CE marking is crucial for enabling lights to comply with the requirements.
