Ferrovial Servicios subsidiary Amey has been awarded a €114m road maintenance contract by Transport Scotland.

Under the six-year contract, Amey will manage and maintain 885km of roads through central Scotland, the Lothians and Scottish Borders. The contract can be extended for two more years.

The contract also includes Edinburgh’s city bypass and a section of the M8 motorway that connects Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Amey will also improve the M8, M72 and M74 motorways in central Scotland with two other Ferrovial subsidiaries, Cintra and Ferrovial Agroman.

Meanwhile, a 50:50 consortium consisting of Ferrovial Agroman and Al Fahd Contracting has been selected by the ArRiyadh Development Authority for a contract to build one of the new access roads to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
