Image Sensing Systems (ISS), a provider of above-ground detection and information management services for the intelligent transportation systems (ITS) sector, has introduced a new intelligent license plate recognition (LPR) camera, the Autoscope Ex-120 series.

The new camera series was developed in partnership with traffic monitoring company CA Traffic, and will improve the company’s LPR services by providing an enhanced solution for its customers.

Powered by ISS license plate recognition engine, the Autoscope Ex-120 series is a fully integrated high-definition camera for both one and two lane applications.

"We are shifting the focus to customer led, benefit based, high tech solutions."

ISS global product manager Keith Hofkens said: "Coupling our world-renowned LPR engine with the highest quality fixed camera on the market is to me, one of the most exciting things to happen in the industry this year.

"In an industry ripe for innovation, we are shifting the focus to customer led, benefit based, high tech solutions."

According to ISS, the Autoscope Ex-120 series easily integrates into the company’s Safe Cities platform, providing data and analysis that law enforcement, security, parking and traffic management professionals require to construct their Safe City.
