Jacobs Engineering Group has been appointed by Highways England to develop options for several highways schemes planned in the east, southeast and northwest regions of England, UK.

The firm is offering engineering design services for civil engineering works and traffic technology, surveys, stakeholder engagement, environmental services, traffic modeling, building information modeling (BIM) and principal designer services under the Construction (Design and Management) 2015 regulations.

Development work under the phase two options includes schemes for A428 (Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet), A12 Chelmsford to A120 (Junction 19 to 25) and M11 Junction 7 upgrade under the east region; A31 ringwood road widening and technology enhancements on A34 under south east region; and M6 junction improvements under northwest region.

Highways England is responsible for operating England’s motorways and major A roads.

It is tasked with modernising and maintaining the highways.
