Seamless has entered into an agreement with parking management company APCOA to introduce SEQR mobile payment service in the latter’s parking lots across Sweden.

The integration of Seamless’ SEQR app technology in APCOA’s large number parking lots in Sweden will start in selected areas to be introduced on a large scale in the first quarter of this year.

"Many people are tired of the time it takes to pay for parking."

APCOA Sweden CEO Bo Liliequist said: "We see great value in offering our customers a mobile payment that has several areas of possible use and will not cost them anything extra.

The app eliminates usage of coins, parking tickets and additional fees on cost of parking by sending a reminder 15 minutes before the expiration of the parking time.

Users also have the facility extend the parking time directly from the mobile.

Speaking about SEQR, Seamless CEO Peter Fredell said: "Many people are tired of the time it takes to pay for parking and that it can cost up to 15% extra to pay with your mobile. With SEQR we can offer the better of two worlds."

APCOA has nearly 1400 parking-and surveillance assignments in ten cities across Sweden.
