The Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA) has launched the US’s first free mobile phone application for the FasTrak pre-paid electronic toll collection system.

FasTrack is the only electronic toll collection system used in California.

The new mobile application, which can be downloaded on smartphones like iPhone and Android, helps users to access and manage their FasTrak/The Toll Roads accounts.

The smartphone application is aimed at assisting the drivers pay toll charges while travelling on the FasTrak designated highways in California.

TCA customer service deputy director, Joyce Hill, said the new application offers patrons an easier way to access and manage their FasTrak accounts.

"With this app, patrons can even add and remove rental vehicles from their accounts.

"This app is the first of its kind, and we’re confident it will make our drivers’ experience with the toll roads even more convenient."

FasTrak helps the drivers access their pre-paid toll accounts and get information on the account balance, edit account information, add or remove vehicles, view and request transponders, and plan their trip on toll roads.

The TCA has 409,500 FasTrak accounts and 793,500 FasTrak transponders in circulation. The agency operates the toll roads of California, including the 73, 133, 241 and 261 toll roads in Orange County.

The TCA consists of two local government agencies which plan, finance, construct and operate Orange County’s 67-mile public toll road system.
