StarTraq, a provider of back-office services, has been awarded a competitive tender to deliver a road traffic offence management and enforcement system across the three police forces in the UK.

StarTraq’s offence management system will enable three forces, Bedfordshire Police, Cambridgeshire Constabulary; and Hertfordshire Constabulary, to improve their overall efficiencies while providing assistance with road safety management.

Under the latest multi-year contract, StarTraq will provide BCH with an integrated and user-friendly service that delivers adjudication and document management capabilities.

With the help of its Dynamic offence management and enforcement system (StarTraq Dome), the company will set up the offence workflows for the three forces as per their needs.

Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire (BCH) had entered into a Strategic Alliance to provide a cost-efficient service to the public, and by aligning their ICT systems the three counties are able to share resources easily, while minimising IT maintenance costs and staff training requirements.

"StarTraq will provide BCH with an integrated and user-friendly service that delivers adjudication and document management capabilities."

BCH has selected StarTraq following a thorough scoring process that measured each bidder against a variety of criteria, including integration into PentiP and offering value for money.

StarTraq Sales head Richard Talbott said that running a central ticket office is challenging and the processes involved need to be actively managed.

"BCH will be able to gain much more insight into their workload and will be able to quickly allocate resources appropriately," Talbott added.

StarTraq has already deployed software solutions specifically for regional collaboration of Safety Camera central ticket offices.

It has implemented this across the Welsh police forces and is currently executing a similar project for the Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies.
