Industrieanlagenbau GmbH (IAB) High-Performance Steel Structures for Road Signs
Industrieanlagenbau GmbH (IAB) specialises in the development, production and installation of create high-quality steel structures. Its current product range includes container and constructional steel assemblies for a wide range of industries, including road traffic, energy and mobile communications.
Steel structures for road signs and toll systems
IAB supplies structures for dynamic traffic systems, static signage and toll systems for the road industry.
The company’s carrying structures are planned and produced according to the specifications of the RVS in Austria and the ZTV-ING in Germany, and mounted over motorways and highways.
Accessible double-bar structures, spanning up to 55m, are typically used for dynamic traffic guidance systems.
For static signage on cross-country roads, highways and motorways, single-bar structures are used as cantilevers or sign bridges. Depending on customer requirements, the carrying frameworks are accessible or inaccessible. Single-bar designs span up to 28m.
Dedicated carrying structure series for toll systems are planned depending on the requirements of carrying loads and spans. They are usually presented as modular builds, to map all necessary spans with one structural concept.
Bespoke steel and welding constructions for railway bridges
IAB supplies dynamic, highly resilient welding constructions, as well as creating and installing street and railway bridges, and hall constructions, according to the client’s requirements.
Components are produced according to EN 1090 – EXC 2 to EXC 4, and delivered ready for installation.
Steel-carrying structures and industrial services
IAB plans, produces and installs approximately 150 carrying structure sites a year, as well as provide industrial services, including:
- Structural calculation according to Eurocode 3
- Execution planning with 3D construction programmes
- Work preparation
- Material cutting
- Welds assembly and assessment using visual inspection (VT), magnetic particle (MT), radiography (RT) or ultrasonic (UT) procedures
- Surface protection (hot-dip galvanisation according to EN ISO 1461, preservation up to C5H or powder coating)
- Delivery and installation by autocrane or helicopter
IAB’s mounting crews mount and install carrying structures across Europe. The carrying structures are planned and executed according to EN 1090 – EXC 3.
