MYRGroup subsidiary Sturgeon Electric Company has been selected by Kiewit Meridiam Partners (KMP) to provide electrical construction services for the $1.2bn Central 70 Project in Denver, Colorado, US.

Sturgeon Electric is providing early phase pre-construction project support and design review services for the project.

The contract for electrical construction services with KMP is expected to exceed $100m.

Willdan Group has been awarded two new master contracts worth $60m each by the state of California to perform energy-efficiency and water-conservation upgrades for eight years.

Willdan will provide preliminary assessments, investment grade audits, implementation services, as well as measurement and verification of energy savings for California Department of General Services (DGS) facilities under the contract. It will also negotiate project-level contracts.

Strabag International has been awarded a €106m ($126m) contract by the South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) for the construction of a new bridge over the river Mtentu in eastern South Africa.

As part of the contract, Strabag International along with its joint venture partner AVENG Grinaker-LTA, a South African construction company, will provide construction services for 1,132m-long bridge over the river Mtentu, which will be supported by 13 piers.

Upon completion of construction in 40 months, the bridge will become the highest in Africa.
