Oman has awarded several tenders, which are valued at RO25.6m ($66m), to carry out road projects across the country.

The projects include the construction of Al Muri / Al Ain road in the Al Dhahirah region, which will be carried out at an investment of RO14.2m ($36m).

Another project will be the improvement of Al Shaibah-Al Suwaiq and Saham roundabouts at a cost of RO788,800 ($2m) on the Al Batinah Highway.

About RO8.6 ($22m) will be invested in the second stage design and construction of flyovers on the Al Batinah dual carriageway in Al Bidayah, Sur Al Shiyadi and Mijaz Al Sughra.

Parts of the funds – RO1,377,974 ($3.3m) – will go into the fourth stage and third part additional works for the rehabilitation of Nizwa / Thumrait road, as well as into consultancy services for the design and supervision of Ibri-A’Draiz-Maskan dual carriageway project.
