ERTICO ITS Europe’s supervisory board has given approval to the applications of four new organisations seeking entry into its cooperative partnership platform.

ERTICO Partnership comprises of members from more than 100 public and private entities across eight different sectors. The partnership is aimed at bringing intelligence into the mobility segment across the continent.

AKKA Technologies is a consulting and engineering group in the mobility sector. It works on full vehicle development; engine, powertrain solutions with exhaust gas after treatment and electrics and electronics, car IT. It has also been involved in the autopilot proposal and is seeking to work with the ERTICO Partnership on connected and automated driving, interoperability and ITS for urban mobility.

Inmarsat is a satellite network operator providing global communications in voice data and M2M, delivering hybrid communications for ITS, including 5G. It lays emphasis on the use of resilient and seamless communications using a combination of terrestrial and satellite connectivity that can support service continuity within vehicles and infrastructure irrespective of location.

Luxembourg Institute of Science & Technology (LIST) is a research and technology organisation active in the fields of materials, environment and IT.

LIST is expected to bring added value to both the ITS for urban mobility and emobility programmes due to its specific focus on mobility, including on the handling of bigdata from both public transport and infrastructure, different integrated tools used in ITS and the development of smart ticketing, parking electrical vehicles usage and integration in to the smart grid.

Satellite Applications Catapult promotes ITS within the satellite industry whilst also promoting the use of satellite technology along with terrestrial technology within the ITS community.
