Budimex, the Polish subsidiary of Spain’s Ferrovial, has been contracted by the Polish Roads Agency to build a 25km section of the A4 highway, with an investment of nearly €234m.

The company will design and construct the section stretching from Rzeszow to Korczowa, in the south-east of the country.

Work is expected to begin in a month and finish in April 2012.

The total A4 highway project stretches from Jarosaw to Radymno, the main route connecting Germany and southern Poland and a connection for the movement of vehicles between western Europe, the Ukraine and southern Russia.
