Shandong ETC Contract Goes to China TransInfo

China TransInfo Technology Corp has been awarded an Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) contract in Shandong Province.

Under the US$700,000 contract, China TransInfo will install roadside ETC antennas near highway toll stations for 39 roads in order to electronically deduct toll fees from passing vehicles.

The company will also provide 4,000 onboard sensors for the Highway Toll Settlement Center of the Shandong Province Department of Communications.

The cars fitted with the sensors will not be required to stop or slow down while passing through the electronic toll system.
