The Florida section of Interstate 95 (I-95) in the US has been ranked first in a list of America’s 100 deadliest highways by a US-based news reporting and opinion website.

The Daily Beast website said its report is based on five years crash data taken from the US National Highway Safety Administration.

The study observed nearly 250 stretches of interstate highways to determine which roads are the most deadly, mile-for-mile.

Measuring fatal crashes rather than total fatalities, the statistics were then divided by the number of miles of that stretch of interstate highway.

Interstate 76 in New Jersey, Interstate 4 in Florida, Interstate 15 and Interstate 10 in California follow I-95 as the highways most likely to generate a fatal accident.
