US firm Intergraph will provide its public safety solutions for an early warning incident detection and response network on the state of Pennsylvania’s 545-mile toll-road system.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) will use the solution to receive reliable and real-time data, which will improve information sharing, enabling better emergency response to turnpike incidents.

Intergraph’s Computer-Aided Dispatch and reporting solutions will help PTC’s Traffic Operations Center manage more than 400 calls and 11,000 radio transmissions daily, for emergency services.

The company’s Business Intelligence solution, included in the system, will help in generating reports, performing ad hoc data analysis, and turning information into actionable intelligence for enhanced decision-making, the company said.
