Work has begun on constructing a bridge over Kamchatka river near the Milkovo-Klyuchi-Ust-Kamchatsky highway in Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia.

The 1,833m-long bridge is expected to have a main bridge spanning 445m and an 8m-wide highway bridge with 63m-long spans.

The $58.8m bridge is expected to link the peninsula with Ust-Kamchatsky district and improve transport accessibility and capacity in the region.

The bridge will be completed and put into operation in 2012, according to news.xinhuanet.com.
