The European Investment Bank (EIB) will provide two loans totaling PLN525m ($155m) to upgrade transport infrastructure in Lódz in central Poland.

The first loan of PLN450m will finance the upgrade of regional transport infrastructure and rehabilitation of cultural heritage monuments in the Lódz Voivodship.

The second loan of PLN75m (approx. $23m) is intended to support the rehabilitation and extension of priority roads in the Municipality of Lódz.

The deal is expected to finance the implementation of priority projects included in the programme, which is part of the regional development strategy for 2007-2020.
