The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has announced that improvement work on the Mirdif Bridge in the UAE has been completed.

The bridge, which previously had two lanes in the direction of Al Muhaisna and one lane in the direction of Mirdif, has been converted into a high-capacity flyover.

The flyover now includes six lanes in the direction of Mirdif, three in the direction of Al Muhaisna and three in the direction of Al Rashidiya.

It also has five lanes for traffic inbound from Al Muhaisna and three in the direction of Mirdif, in addition to a number of other lanes, according to gulfnews.com.

Other completed works on the Mirdif Interchange project include a right lane inbound from Abu Dhabi, a tunnel, upper roads, a right traffic lane and four traffic light signals.

The project is intended to ease traffic flow for road users in Mirdif and Al Muhaisna.
