Transfield Services North America has secured a new $172m road contract with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation.

The new 12-year contract follows the $143m contract signed last year, and includes the maintenance and operation of roads in the Sault Ste Marie area of Ontario.

The company has also signed contracts worth $30m for new and renewed work with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (AKDOT&PF).

The renewed seven-year $15m contract with FDOT is for asset maintenance services of eight movable bridges in District Five, which includes Volusia, Flagler, Seminole, Lake and Brevard Counties.

The five-year $15m contract with AKDOT&PF includes operations and maintenance of the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel.
