Volt Point

Italian firm Giulio Barbieri has developed Volt Point, an electric vehicle (EV) charging station with a brand new design.

Volt Point, which will be released in the coming days, can be installed without ground anchoring and features a case that is completely made out of reinforced concrete.

The new product is provided in different versions, which include for the recharge of electric bikes (e-bikes), pedelecs and e-scooters , as well as for recharging electric cars in both the standard or rapid charging mode.

The basic version of the unit works through an RFID system that authorises the identified user to charge the vehicle. It also features a touch-screen display that guides the user through the charging phases.

The charging station can be equipped with the latest remote control system that can manage the payment, and find and book a charging station online.

The charging unit also has an option to install an advertising panel or an extra interactive touch-screen display on the top of the column to offer a useful city information service point.

Volt Point for e-bikes will be equipped with lockers, which enables users to leave the battery and the battery charger for safekeeping until the end of the charging period.

Giulio Barbieri said that the new EV charging station is easy to move and is resistant to vandalism and theft.

In addition to the new Volt Point, Giulio Barbieri’s other EV charging offerings include photovoltaic (PV)-charging stations, PV and wind EV-charging stations and e-bike station.

The Italian company also manufactures and sells solar carports, party tent, pergolas, canopy tent, EV charging stations, warehouse tent, industrial tents and street furniture.
