The Mozambican National Roads Administration has awarded a contract for an environmental feasibility study on a section of its $176.3m road project in the provinces of Nampula and Cabo Delgado.

The 222km section, called the EN106 road, involves renovating and widening the road to link Namialo to Metoro.

The overall road project covers the 102km Nampula-Rio Ligonha road and the 167km Nicoadala-Chimuara road.
