Net Yapi of the NATA Group is about to complete construction of 90 bridges across Turkmenistan.

The Turkish construction company signed a two-year $287.5m contract with Turkmenistan in 2008, according to Turkish newspaper Hurriyet Daily News.

Under the contract, the Turkish firm is building Turkmenistan’s first steel suspension bridge of about 320m over the Karakum Canal while other bridges will be made of concrete.

The contract also includes 31 bridges on the Archman-Turkmenbashi section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi highway and 30 bridges on the Anau-Mary portion of the Ashgabat-Mary highway.

20 bridges will be added to the Turkmenabat-Farab highway and nine bridges will be built along the Ashgabat-Karakum-Dashoguz highway.
