Sensys Traffic, a Swedish developer and marketer of products for traffic safety and informatics, has secured a order to supply traffic speed enforcement systems to Saudi Arabia.

The Skr6m ($941,921) order, which is the company’s first in Saudi Arabia, is expected to be delivered in the first quarter 2014.

Sensys Traffic CEO Johan Frilund said: "Our technology, together with our references, was decisive for us to be chosen in preference to competitors for this contract."

Sensys Traffic develops and markets a variety of systems for various traffic informatics and traffic safety applications.

The company’s products are mainly used for speed and red-light enforcement.

"Our technology, together with our references, was decisive for us to be chosen."

Based on the RS240 multi-tracking radar, Sensys’ speed enforcement systems comprise fixed-speed enforcement and mobile speed enforcement systems.

Its fixed-speed enforcement system, the Speed Safety System, is capable for tracking multiple vehicles simultaneously, while the Mobile Speed Safety System is non-intrusive and features radar, a processing and data storage unit, and a digital camera.

Sensys’ Red Light Safety System detects a vehicle that does not stop at traffic lights, and provides data for time, date, location, vehicle speed, and red-light and grace time.
