Energy management company Schneider Electric has unveiled new EVlink cloud-connected charging stations in partnership with electric vehicle (EV) charging stations network ChargePoint.

The new offer includes hardware, software, ChargePoint connectivity and several advanced services, including installation, deployment planning, project management and ongoing maintenance.

Schneider Electric’s new EVlink cloud-connected charging station provides access to the ChargePoint network, and offers improved data reporting to analyse driver usage patterns by time intervals, station attributes or energy usage.

"This collaboration has been in the works for a while and the company is proud to be part of a significant moment for the entire EV industry."

Built-in demand response enables owners to monitor and manage energy load, as well as adjust power flow in 1% increments by station or region.

It features a consumer-friendly design and is available in a pedestal and wall mount variants. Customers can also receive real-time status notifications from the stations while charging.

Drivers can easily locate and reserve stations using the free ChargePoint mobile app via iPhone, Android and Blackberry devices and automated billing and transaction payment processing is available using a ChargePoint or credit card.

The new EVlink cloud-connected charging station helps station owners by providing a number of services, including EV readiness planning, geocentric adoption rate growth analysis, local and nationwide site auditing, project installation and commissioning services, as well as several station management services.

Advanced tiered services are also available including extended warranty, routine ongoing preventative maintenance, critical turnaround services and expedited parts replacements.

Schneider Electric Vehicles director Mike Calise said this collaboration has been in the works for a while and the company is proud to be part of a significant moment for the entire EV industry.

"By partnering with ChargePoint, a world-class leading EV charging network provider, we are giving Fortune 1000, SMB customers and EV drivers access to the broadest range of comprehensive EV charging solutions supporting North American EV infrastructure mass-scale expansion goals," Calise said.

Several EVlink cloud-connected charging stations with ChargePoint connectivity have already been installed in public and private settings, including office buildings and workplace facilities, restaurants, shopping centres, hotel chains, hospitals and government buildings.
