Canadian firm International Road Dynamics will install two Weigh-in-Motion Systems and a toll collection system for the Bangabandhu Bridge in Bangladesh.

The bridge, the country’s longest and the world’s 11th longest, links the country’s eastern and northwestern parts and crosses over the Jamuna River.

Work will be carried out with the company along with its South Asian subsidiary and is expected to finish in April, 2010.

The CAD $1.1m contract has been awarded by the Bangladesh Bridge Authority.
