UK firm TeleWare has deployed a new information service on Scotland’s Forth Road Bridge to provide commuters with up-to-date information on travel conditions on the road.

The service is based on the company’s Intelligent Connect call management software provided from its London Docklands and Heathrow data centres as a hosted service.

The 24 million motorists who use the bridge every year can access information about bridge restrictions due to weather, roadworks and traffic incidents, as well as estimated delay times on the three main approach roads.

Delays on the M90, A90 and M9 Spur are measured every 4mins by new roadside traffic sensors.

The system has been developed by the company’s subsidiary Vemotion Interactive, Comvista and Camvista Global.
