The Chakan Da Bagh Bridge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district in India has been reconstructed as a steel bridge.

The bridge has been re-modelled to a height of 50ft following the collapse of its crossing point due to heavy rainfall.

Reconstruction of the bridge, which serves as a trade link between the two countries, was completed within 24 hours.

The work has been delivered by India’s General Reserve Engineering Force and the Border Road Organisation.

The collapse of the bridge has severely affected the movement of security forces in the region, according to ANI.
