A consortium of three Strabag subsidiaries has signed a €139m ($191m) contract to build a new bridge complex in Torun, Poland.

The companies in the consortium include Strabag and Hermann Kirchner Polska, both based in Poland, and Strabag in Austria.

The project includes building the 540m bridge over the river Vistula and construction of several viaducts with the longest two measuring 830m and 600m.

The work also encompasses building two lanes in each direction, access roads, and a pedestrian walkway and a bicycle lane and the renovation of the surrounding streets.

Construction will commence this year and is expected to be complete in 32 months.
