The highway sector is a key part of WSP’s operations in the UK and Sweden. Intelligent Transport Systems

WSP’s Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) team plays a pivotal role in developing innovative and technology based solutions for transport systems and networks, such as the Active Traffic Management (ATM) Control System, the Travel Information Highway (TIH) and the Video Information Highway (VIH).

Our services include the following: research, trials and pilots of ITS applications; tactical / strategic traffic control systems; CCTV and detection technologies; traffic signals, UTC, UTMC, SCOOT, MOVA; ITS strategy and conceptual design; design / implementation of VMS applications; information systems and design of data exchange systems.
