Depending on the model, Decatur Electronic radars have several remarkable benefits including 'faster target' track and lock, display for approaching or receding targets and both, new AA-battery operated hand held radar series as well as the industry's smallest Ka-band antennas. All displays can be powered with regular 110-240V power, rechargeable batteries or solar panels.

Speed data collection units

The OnSite 23 and 33 is a two-digit speed display with two or tree LED rows in each segment, and 40° - 60° LED angle to suit built up areas and cities. This speed data collection unit has built-in radar, automatic brightness adjustment to fit all lighting conditions and USB and serial connections for data transfer.

An integrated speed data collection module gathers speed, date and time information from up to 100,000 samples. The module gathers information not only from approaching targets, but resending targets as well.

Minimum and maximum speeds can be set by using a control panel equipped with back light LCD screen and five control buttons. Screen and buttons are located behind separate and lockable hatch.

Marine speed displays

OnSite 45 and 60 marine is a two-digit marine speed display with two 45cm or 60cm-high LEDs and 15cm to 20cm-high LED texts to identify speed unit (e.g. km/h, mph or kn). This marine speed display unit has built-in radar and power source, and is also available with rechargeable batteries or solar panels. As well as automatic brightness adjustment to fit all lighting conditions, the unit also features special yellow LED colour to avoid confusion with fairway guidance lights.

The OnSite 45 and 60 marine speed display unit's display shows approaching targets their speed and flashes the speed few times if the pre-set speed limit is exceeded. Speed limits can be set by using the control panel and LCD screen. Information can not only be gathered from approaching targets but also resending targets. This information can be easily transferred over USB connection directly from the speed display unit.

Pole-mounted speed displays

Our OnSite 50 pole-mounted speed display has been manufactured for value, ease of use and portability. The OnSite 50 pole-mounted speed display unit features our patent-pending SI-3™ Radar, which can track speeds nearly 1.6km away and is accurate from 8km/h to 160km/h. Drivers can see the LED flash of their speed from 305m away through the smoked, non-glare Lexan® shielding. The dolly's small size also allows for unencumbered views so drivers may easily see pedestrians or other vehicles.

Portable speed display dolly

The OnSite 200 speed display dolly is portable, low-cost and designed for easy positioning in areas where speeding is a concern. This dolly-mounted 45.7cm LED radar display is accurate from 8km/p and easily read at a glance. Children are easily seen around the sign with the tubular frame design while the wide base is built to withstand adverse weather conditions. This makes the OnSite 200 portable speed display dolly the perfect solution for school zones, public events and short-term construction sites.

Speed control system (SCS)

Our speed control system (SCS) is a 2-3 digit, 7-segment speed display and features SI-3 radar. The system is equipped with a backlight LCD screen featuring an easy to read menu structure to allow straightforward programming of all functions needed in most speed display and data collection applications.

The speed control system's automatic brightness control adjusts digit brightness to suit various lightning conditions, making the system extremely useful where battery power is required.

Our intelligent data filter function allows gathering speed, date and time information from both directions, while speed display shows speeds only to approaching drivers. Optional GSM / GPRS data function also allows wireless data transfer.
